Short Vita

Prof. Dr. Michael Diehl holds the chair for Personality and Social Psychology in the Department of Psychology at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tuebingen since 1995. He studied psychology at the universities of Regensburg and Marburg (Dipl.-Psych., 1977). He earned his doctorate (Dr. rer. soc., 1984) and qualified as a university lecture (Dr. habil., 1991)a at the University of Tuebingen. From 1993 until 1995 he was professor of micro-sociology and social psychology at the University of Mannheim.


Research Interests

Intra- and Intergroup processes, especially information processing in groups and computer supported collaborative work. Currently he investigates information exchange, negotiation, idea production and decision making in groups in various research projects. This research focuses on the development of computer tools for group support systems in collaborative work.
