  • Academic-Writing-Workshop, 19th-20th September and "get-together" with Alumni 21th -22th September, Tübingen (Germany)
    Our guest Susannah Goss (MPI placeStateBerlin) will teach academic style, vocabulary, grammar, structure of academic publications. Further topics, presented by guests and VGK-lectores will be: publication strategies, timing, matching with journals and writing of DFG research proposals.



  • Research-Method-Workshop, 27th-29th June 2007, Freiburg (Germany):
    VGK Members will discuss qualitative and quantitative methods like video-analysis or HLM, relevant for their projects. Lectors and tutors will present research relevant strategies and give advices. What happens after the VGK? How can I continue my career? How can I improve my qualification? What kind of research possibilities are attractive? There will be meetings for reviewing and exchange.



  • Autumn School October 2nd - 6th, 2006 in Münster (Germany):
    This year, the "Autumn School 2006" of the Virtual Ph.D. Program (VGK) will take place from October 2nd - 6th, 2006 in Münster (Germany). The general topic will be: "Improving Computer-mediated Learning and Collaborative Work: Which are the Promising Concepts?". In a workshop format, VGK members, invited speakers and guests will be working together on specific topics. The emphasis will be on metacognition, epistemological beliefs, and a computer-supported guidance.

  • Face-to-face-meeting May, 10th-12th, 2006 in Freudenstadt (Germany)
    This meeting took place at the end of the online seminar "Knowledge Communication in Groups" (Prof. Dr. Michael Diehl and Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer) and was organized by the VGK-Team of Tübingen (Germany). It included a workshop on "Research issues in computer-supported collaborative learning", conducted by our guest, Prof. Dr. Pierre Dillenbourg (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology - École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL). Further guests were Prof. Dillenbourgs Assistant, Sangin Mirweis (EPFL) as well as 10 Ph.D. students of computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL).
